Stabilized wood makes an excellent knife handle material because it dramatically improves the natural performance characteristics of wood. - Blocks are finished to roughly 220 grit. Scales are finished on the buffer. Final coloring will depend on your finishing process. Buffing finishes will be lighter. Oil finishes will be darker.  

- Highly burled woods may have small voids and checks. Any large checks will be noted in the listing with an appropriate price reduction. No scales will be listed with defects that cannot be easily patched with CA glue. 

- The dimensions listed above are the smallest dimension in that axis. If scales vary, they will be larger than the listed measurement.
